That was hot out their today

After a late start, getting lost and sufferring in the Texas heat we finally arrived in Austin. The final run into Austin in the rush hour was pretty grim, it's just so hot. I'm actually amazed the car stuck the heat, if it managed today then the rest of the trip should be easy. We gave the space center a miss in the end. Tonights entertainment is at BD Rileys Irish Pub on 6th Street...........you come all the way to America and end up in an Irish theme bar.

Todays Plan

This morning we are off to the NASA space center (note american spelling). Then it`s a 200 mile dash across Texas to Austin, dodging thunder storms in 100F heat. BD Riley`s Irish Pub in Austin is laying on a happy hour well more of a happy evening actually for the group..........which should be fun.

The heat is extreme this morning, apparently hotter than normal for the time of year, we are going to get a real scorching on our first day out. So in our useual resourceful style we have fashioned a sun screen out of an old Union Jack.......very patriotic.
